Kick off the holiday season in Mount Pleasant and join friends and neighbors for a celebration in Lamont Park.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be taking requests and handing out gift bags from local businesses. There will be hands on crafts projects galore along with face painting and lots of tasty treats. Puppeteers from the Mount Pleasant Puppet Hour will be presenting two fabulous shows. David Greenfieldboyce will perform one of his famous Hanukkah Puppet shows and Melissa Klein will perform "The Little Lost Owl" with puppets made from discarded materials such as shoe boxes, bottle caps, and a glove.
And you can Make it Mount Pleasant for the rest of the day! After the celebration visit the Cheap Art Sale at La Casa (3166 Mount Pleasant Street) and get your tree at the Bancroft Elementary School's annual tree sale. (18th and Newton). Then visit local shops and restaurants for lots of holiday specials!
